FOTOhub vs Adobe Firefly: inside Creative Cloud, or on its own

Adobe Firefly is generation built into the tools designers already own. FOTOhub is a standalone platform: 44 image models from 12 providers, 55 video models, audio, chat and an API, all on one credit balance and all in a browser. This page compares the entry price and the coverage of both, and is clear about the case where staying with Adobe is the right answer.

Where Adobe Firefly is the better buy

If your day is spent in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Premiere, Firefly is one keystroke away inside the file you already have open, and no external platform beats that on friction. Adobe also answers enterprise procurement on its own terms, with the paperwork a legal team expects. FOTOhub does not resell Firefly and has no Creative Cloud plugin.

One model against a catalogue

Firefly generates with Adobe models. FOTOhub keeps a catalogue and lets the job pick: a photoreal pack shot, a stylised illustration, a poster with legible type and a 3D asset are four different models, chosen per generation with the credit cost shown first. Five of the models run on our own GPUs, which is why they are priced without a reseller margin.

A photo pipeline, not only a generator

FOTOhub reads twelve RAW formats on upload and edits in the browser with curves, masks and brushes, plus restoration passes for old scans, background removal and upscaling to print size. Client galleries need no guest account, so delivery is part of the same subscription rather than a separate gallery service.

Automation and commerce

Everything FOTOhub does is reachable over a REST API with Python and TypeScript SDKs, webhooks, a CLI and an MCP server, and product photos can go straight into WordPress, Shopify or PrestaShop through our plugins. Agents and flows chain those steps for a catalogue of hundreds of items instead of one file at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Is FOTOhub cheaper than Adobe Firefly?
At the list prices we audited the cheapest paid plans were $8 and $9.99, so the difference at the entry level is small. It gets larger if Firefly sits on top of a Creative Cloud subscription, and smaller if you already pay for Creative Cloud for other reasons. Our plans are on /public_prices.
Does FOTOhub work inside Photoshop?
No — there is no Creative Cloud plugin. FOTOhub has its own browser editor, and integrates outward through the REST API, the CLI and plugins for WordPress, Shopify and PrestaShop. Files export in the usual formats, so moving between the two is a download or an API call.
Can I use the results commercially?
Permitted use is set out in our terms, and each model carries the licence of the provider behind it — read both before a commercial campaign. We add no watermark to a paid generation.
Do I need to install anything?
No. FOTOhub runs in a browser, including the RAW editor, and long jobs keep running after you close the tab. A free plan with 50 credits and no card is enough to test a real file.
