FOTOhub vs Leonardo.ai: trained models, or a wider catalogue
Leonardo.ai and FOTOhub start from the same place — image generation with a canvas around it — and then go different ways. Leonardo lets you train a model on your own images. FOTOhub puts 44 image models next to 55 video models, audio, chat and an API on one credit balance. This page prices both at list, sets out the coverage, and says plainly which one you should buy for which job.

Cheapest paid plan at list price, monthly billing, as published by each vendor in 07 / 2026. "Partly" means limited, higher-tier only, or sold as a separate product. Coverage describes what Leonardo.ai and FOTOhub ship, not how good the output is — that is a judgement only you can make. Prices change: check Leonardo.ai's own pricing page and ours at /public_prices before you buy.
Where Leonardo.ai is the better buy
Leonardo trains custom models and elements on images you upload, which is the right tool when a character, a product or a house style has to come back identically across hundreds of frames. FOTOhub does not offer model training today: our Brand Kit holds your palette, fonts and saved styles and feeds them into prompts, which is a weaker guarantee than a trained model. If training is the requirement, buy Leonardo.
Twelve providers instead of one house model
FOTOhub does not build one model and sell access to it. The image studio lists 44 models from 12 providers with the credit cost of each shown before you run it, so a pack shot, a poster with legible type and a stylised illustration can each go to whichever model handles them best. Five of those models run on our own GPUs and are priced without a reseller margin.
What happens after the image
The generated frame is rarely the deliverable. FOTOhub carries it on: masked edits, upscaling to print size, background removal, twelve RAW formats read on upload, animation into a clip, a soundtrack and narration, captions, a client gallery, or a push into WordPress, Shopify or PrestaShop. All of it on the same balance, none of it a second subscription.
Credits against a token allowance
Leonardo meters generations against a monthly allowance. FOTOhub charges per job from a single balance: an image from one credit, a second of video from 0.1, a minute of music 1.7, and the figure appears before you commit. The cheapest paid plan is $8 with 300 credits, and the free plan gives 50 credits without a card.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I train a model on my own photos in FOTOhub?
- Not today. FOTOhub offers Brand Kit — saved colours, fonts, reference images and styles applied to prompts — plus reference-image modes on the models that support them. That covers brand consistency in many cases, but it is not a fine-tuned model, and we would rather say so than let you find out after paying.
- Is FOTOhub cheaper than Leonardo.ai?
- At the list prices we audited the cheapest paid plans were $8 and $12. What matters more is what the balance covers: on FOTOhub the same credits pay for video, music, narration and API calls, so compare against everything you would otherwise buy separately. Plans are on /public_prices.
- Are Leonardo models available in FOTOhub?
- No — we do not resell Leonardo.ai. The models FOTOhub does offer, with the credit cost of each, are listed on /public_prices and described on /product/our-ai-models.
- Is there an API and a CLI?
- Yes: a REST API with Python and TypeScript SDKs, webhooks, a command-line tool and an MCP server for AI agents, all documented on docs.fotohub.app. The same account and the same credits back the API and the browser studios.
