Runway builds its own video models and an editing suite around them. FOTOhub puts 55 video models from 11 providers behind one prompt box, bills them by the second from the same credit balance as images and audio, and exposes all of it over a REST API. Per-second credits against a monthly quota
A second of video starts at 0.1 credit and each model prices its own seconds, so a draft on a cheap model costs a fraction of the final render and the figure is on screen before you press go. The cheapest paid plan is $8 with 300 credits; a busy campaign week is a top-up rather than a bigger subscription for the whole year.
Where Runway is the better buy
Runway is one company shipping one model family with a timeline-based editor built for it, and that tightness is the point: the controls match the model, and a team that lives inside that workflow will be faster there than anywhere else. Its models are also exclusive to it — FOTOhub does not resell Runway, so a shot you can only get from Runway needs Runway.
What a catalogue gives you instead
Different models are good at different shots, and on FOTOhub you can send the same prompt or still image to several of them and keep the one that worked, without a second subscription. Lip-sync, voice and music live on the same account, so a talking-head clip does not need three vendors. Jobs finish server-side with the tab closed, and the same generations are available over the API, the SDKs, the MCP server and the CLI.
From clip to published short
Generation is the middle of the job, not the end of it. FOTOhub carries the clip through captions burned to frame, a soundtrack, voice-over, vertical formats for shorts and UGC, and delivery to a client gallery or a shop listing — the parts that usually happen in two more tools after the render finishes.

- The cheapest paid plans we audited were $8 and $15, but video cost is driven by seconds rendered, not by the plan. FOTOhub charges from 0.1 credit a second and shows the price of a clip before it runs, so the honest way to compare is to price the clips you actually make. Plans are on /public_prices.
- Are Runway models available in FOTOhub?
- No. We do not resell Runway. The video models FOTOhub does offer are listed with their credit cost on /public_prices, and the studio itself is described on /videoai_public.
- Can I generate from a still image?
- Yes — image-to-video is supported, with the available durations and resolutions listed per model, because they differ. You can also generate the still in the image studio first and send it straight to video without a download in between.
- Is there an API for video?
- Yes: the same REST API that serves images, with Python and TypeScript SDKs, webhooks for job completion and an MCP server for AI agents. Documentation is on docs.fotohub.app.
