Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?
No. Photo mode runs in a browser tab. You sign in with your FOTOhub account, and your project saves to it every 30 seconds and shortly after each change.
What does it cost?
Every adjustment, curve, preset, brush, selection and layer tool is open on every plan, Free included, and exporting never uses credits. From Starter ($8 / €8 a month) you export at 2×, up to 8,192 px. AI photo tools use credits on every plan, from 1 to 4 a use.
Which files can I open and export?
Open JPG, PNG, WebP and the other image formats your browser can show, from your computer or straight from your FOTOhub gallery. Export PNG, JPG or WebP, with a transparent background for PNG and WebP.
Can I undo an edit?
Yes. Sliders and presets preview live until you apply them, the history panel keeps 50 steps you can jump between, and holding the backslash key shows the original next to your edit at any time.
Where are my photos processed?
Adjustments, curves, presets and the clone, dodge, burn, blur, sharpen and eraser brushes run in your browser. The AI tools, spot heal, remove object, click to select, filters and resizing run on FOTOhub's own servers.
What is the difference between photo mode and design mode?
It is one editor with two layouts, and you can switch at any time. Photo mode is for pictures: grading, retouching, selections and the AI photo tools. Design mode is for layouts: templates, text, graphics, pages and sizes.
Is it good for product photos?
Yes. Remove the background in one click, put the product on transparency, a colour, a blur, a gradient or another image, add a drop or contact shadow, erase what should not be there and crop to 1:1 or 4:5 for your store and feed.
What can't it do yet?
Photo mode opens web image formats, not RAW files or layered PSD files. There are no adjustment layers yet: an adjustment is written into the photo when you apply it, and you step back with undo. Straighten shows its result when you apply the crop, not while you drag.
